Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Tech to join our team at Piedmont HealthCare. As an Endoscopy Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
• Maintain and organize equipment and supplies in the Endoscopy Department, adhering to unit and hospital policies.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to established protocols, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide support to the Registered Nurse in caring for patients in the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy department.
• Perform clerical duties as necessary to ensure optimal function of the department.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart materials, maintain records and files, and maintain the order and cleanliness of the workstation.
• Complete charges for patients accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred graduate of GI/OR Technology program or CNA/MA program.
• Previous experience as a Unit Secretary or CNA/MA is preferred.
• Current AHA BLS Certification is required.
• Previous experience in Endoscopy is preferred.
