Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our OB/GYN department at Impact Talent Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate radiology information systems to facilitate care.
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
  • Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
  • Review patient images before transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards.
  • Perform quality control procedures and notification/remediation as warranted.
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Completed a CAHEA-approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire).
  • Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of sonographer experience.
Work Environment

The incumbent works in a patient care area, directly with patients, and/or with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. There may be an occupational risk of exposure to communicable diseases.
