**About the Role**


The Collision Center Estimator is a vital position that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with customers and our Collision Center Technicians to identify required repairs, generate repair orders, and ensure completion to customer standards and satisfaction. This role involves scheduling vehicle repairs according to shop availability and tracking progress on all vehicles. You will also be responsible for tracking and following up on vehicles that are out for sublet work and following all insurance company guidelines when writing, handling, and closing an insurance estimate.



**Responsibilities**



  • Work with customers and Collision Center Technicians to identify required repairs and generate repair orders
  • Schedule vehicle repairs according to shop availability and track progress on all vehicles
  • Track and follow up on vehicles that are out for sublet work
  • Follow all insurance company guidelines when writing, handling, and closing an insurance estimate
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with insurance companies
  • Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimate and recommendations
  • Order parts to ensure speedy completion of work and prepare final billing for completed repair orders
  • Communicate with Collision Center Production Manager and customer regarding estimated completion date
  • Ensure that all customer inquiries are satisfied regardless of the Estimator who completed the RO
  • Meet departmental and individual goals as outlined by Collision Department management

**Requirements**



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of experience in auto body repair preferred
