Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000-$120,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, treating, planning, managing, educating, and promoting health for member needs. You will work independently as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and provide care within the scope of practice outlined by applicable state law, licensing, and regulations.

You will perform history and physical assessments, demonstrate knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and presentation of acute and chronic conditions, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, develop, implement, evaluate, and alter treatment plans, and communicate results with members.

  • Demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of key elements of Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) and Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) model within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of key elements of Quality STAR/HEDIS measures within 90 days of hire.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current and valid State of Arizona RN license.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing and Arizona Advanced Practice Nursing license required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Board Certification from a nationally recognized certifying body for Nurse Practitioners required.
  • Unrestricted prescribing and dispensing privileges with DEA licensure required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
