Electronic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join our team at the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. As an Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic equipment, including traffic signals, computerized signal controllers, and other electronic devices.

• Maintain and repair electronic equipment, including traffic signals, computerized signal controllers, and other electronic devices.
• Perform visual inspections of electronic equipment to identify defects and make estimates of repairs.
• Assist in the installation and checkout of new electronic equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance operations on electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex electronic issues.

• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of electronic equipment, including traffic signals, computerized signal controllers, and other electronic devices.
• Knowledge of electronic principles and circuit analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and diagrams.
• Valid Class D Chauffeur's driver's license.

The Electronic Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
