Electrical Safety Inspector Job Description

At SAFEbuilt, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Safety Inspector to join our team of professionals. This role offers a great opportunity for dynamic and motivated individuals to work on a variety of projects and assignments.

You'll be a member of our highly respected team with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
  • Read and examine plans and specifications when required
  • Report violations and maintain files/records
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology
  • Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
  • Ability to positively interact with staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
Education and Experience:
  • OH Electrical Safety Inspector certification required
  • OH Building Inspector certification preferred
  • Additional OH Certifications are a plus
  • Experience in municipal code inspections preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required
