Groups Recover Together is a leading outpatient addiction medicine provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive treatment for opioid addiction. Our care model is built on the understanding that recovery extends beyond the confines of a clinical setting, incorporating three essential modalities: medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation. We are committed to offering high-quality clinical treatment and team-based support necessary for individuals to reclaim their lives in sobriety.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Counselor at Groups Recover Together, you will play a pivotal role in our organization.
If your passion lies in facilitating group therapy, this position is tailored for you. You will not be expected to manage every aspect of care independently. Instead, you will collaborate with a cross-functional care team, which includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. Together, we deliver a holistic clinical model grounded in the belief that counseling, medication, and community are fundamental to achieving lasting recovery. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the treatment team and serving as the authority on addiction and recovery, coordinating decisions regarding members' treatment plans.
- Managing a caseload and schedule that aligns with the needs of the office and region while enhancing your clinical expertise.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective clinical service delivery.
- Conducting multiple one-hour group therapy sessions aimed at developing recovery skills and fostering community through our established curriculum.
- Documenting members' progress utilizing outcome measures (Core Milestones) and client feedback (NPS scores).
- Engaging proactively in community relations activities, including:
- Distributing informational materials to community stakeholders to promote Groups and its mission.
- Participating in community meetings focused on substance abuse and addiction issues.
We offer a range of benefits for our team members, including:
- No required one-on-one sessions or intakes, allowing you the autonomy to lead groups based on your expertise.
- A healthy work-life balance with flexible scheduling tailored to your needs and those of our members.
- Competitive salary accompanied by a generous paid time off package.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, 401k with matching contributions, HSA, FSA, and paid parental leave.
- Investment in your professional growth with paid time off for training and an annual stipend for continued education.
- A clear career advancement path based on merit, with the tools necessary for counselors to progress within the organization.
- Required licensure or certification: Behavioral health licensure such as LCSW, LPC, LMHC, MCAP, LMFT, CAP, with the ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
- Demonstrated compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and dedication to member success.
- Availability to work 2-3 evenings per week until 9 PM as needed.
- Preferred backgrounds and skills include experience in mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, or medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
