The role of a Medical Technologist III at Lighthouse Lab Services is to play a critical part in disease diagnosis and treatment by performing routine and specialized laboratory tests with expertise and independence.

The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting laboratory tests and evaluating patient results using independent judgment and established protocols
  • Operating and maintaining requisite equipment, instruments, and computer systems
  • Ensuring quality control and participating in laboratory maintenance, including supplies and equipment
  • Taking a leadership role in developing and implementing new procedures, instrumentation, and technology
  • Assuming responsibility for key laboratory projects, including safety, quality control, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance
  • Providing mentorship and training to less experienced staff and overseeing employee competency and training documentation

The successful candidate will be a technical expert who serves as a resource and mentor to the team, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and promoting continuous improvement.

Licensure and education requirements include certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency (NCA) for Laboratory Personnel, and a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a Life Science with requisite certification.

Experience requirements include a minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in moderate and high-complexity testing, and preferably 4 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing and 2 years of leadership experience.
