Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Conduct repairs on equipment to restore safe and effective operation.
  • Collect data readings and maintain logs to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot operational processes and make necessary adjustments for peak performance.
  • Utilize handheld instruments, including voltage meters and gas detection meters.
  • Ensure production schedules are upheld by addressing equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment.
  • Complete work orders for preventive and predictive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain organized workspaces to meet housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Execute electrical and mechanical repairs/projects as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Prioritize safety and comply with all environmental regulations.
  • Participate in additional projects and assignments as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
  • Act as a member of the on-site emergency response team.
  • Maintain compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plan (RMP), and permit requirements related to equipment performance and maintenance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in process operations with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, mechanical systems, HVAC units, and related equipment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, particularly in facilities management.
  • Licensed operator of a wastewater treatment system.
  • Expertise in mechanical chillers, cooling towers, emission scrubbers, and HVAC systems.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in a related field.
  • Military experience in a mechanical capacity.
