Job Summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating donor suitability, administering immunizations, and providing limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct confidential interviews with donors to assess suitability for plasma donation
  • Administer approved immunizations and provide medical care to donors and staff
  • Assess donor medical history and perform health assessments
  • Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results
  • Explain informed consent to applicant donors and obtain signature
  • Handle medical emergencies at the center and elevate situations to Center Physician or local medical service providers as required
  • Review test results and determine continued donor suitability
  • Manage employee hepatitis B and influenza immunization program
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information
Requirements
  • Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred
