Partnerships and Media Liaison

The Blood Connection is seeking a highly skilled Partnerships and Media Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in building and maintaining a positive image for our organization.

• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote our organization's public image
• Build and maintain relationships with partners, media companies, donors, and the community
• Collaborate with our team to create and distribute press releases, fact sheets, and articles
• Develop executive talking points and media kits
• Arrange and plan speaking engagements, press conferences, donor events, and sponsor/partner events
• Act as a designated spokesperson for our organization
• Write speeches, talking points, and other external and internal communication
• Establish and maintain relationships with partners/sponsors, media organizations, donors/recipients, the community, employees, and public interest groups

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
• At least 5 years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Strong computer skills, including intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sitting, standing, or walking for an extended period of time
• Bending and twisting
