Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audiology Assistant to join our team at Los Angeles Center for Ear Nose Throat and Allergy. As an Audiology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Doctor of Audiology in maintaining the flow of our clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and training the next generation of audiology professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Management: Manage the clinic schedule, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Testing and Equipment Proficiency: Become proficient in testing protocols and equipment, including VNG, audio exams, and tinnitus evaluations.
  • Clinic Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sound booth, VNG room, and HAE room.
  • Supply Management: Manage stock of hearing aids, chargers, receivers, and domes/ear tips, as well as restock audiology supplies as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Sanitize audio equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Register patients for hearing aid trials, assemble new equipment, and assist with ENT walk-ins.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Run audiological evaluations, submit reports, and type chart notes for walk-ins and follow-up visits.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Audiology specialty clinic experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual-fluent in both English and Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: General knowledge of HIPAA and CPT codes, excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to work in a relatively unsupervised environment.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: Sit and stand for long periods, use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, and lift up to 20 pounds periodically.
