About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Platform Administrator to join our team at SilverLinx. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the administration and support of our web servers, middleware, and application systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support web servers such as Jboss, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS.
  • Provide support in the middleware area under UNIX/Linux as well as application support.
  • Configure and manage web and application servers.
  • Perform troubleshooting and optimizations in LINUX/UNIX operating systems.
  • Integrate and manage messaging services such as JDBC, JMS, and MQ.
  • Support the development and implementation of Java-based applications (JSP, EJB, XML, Web Services) in close collaboration with the team lead and technical team members.
  • Ensure operation and support for release implementations, as well as provide communication outside of regular working hours as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in the administration and support of Java-based systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, UNIX/Linux, and web servers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
