Job Overview

FIRE SPRINKLER SALES/ESTIMATOR - EXPERIENCE IN FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS REQUIRED

Allsouth Sprinkler Company is a licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor that has been operating since 1973, focusing on the design, fabrication, and installation of advanced fire protection systems. We are looking for a proficient estimator/sales professional to develop system designs and cost assessments. As part of a knowledgeable and experienced team, you will receive guidance in industry best practices and gain insights into NFPA and life safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing fire protection layouts, estimates, and material inventories
  • Calculating the total expenses for materials, labor, and miscellaneous items
  • Engaging with clients to ensure clarity and satisfaction throughout the process
  • Preparing and presenting proposals promptly that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Collaborating with other departments to enhance design efficiency for the fabrication and installation of systems
  • Maintaining documentation for design and project management
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in fire sprinkler systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel for calculations and organization
  • The ability to interpret engineering/design, architectural, and structural blueprints
  • A fundamental understanding of general construction methods and terminology
  • The capability to analyze customer-supplied drawings and create layouts
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and complete projects accurately
  • The ability to work independently, follow instructions, and demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification from a college or technical school
  • 1-3 years of experience with fire sprinkler layouts
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Work Environment

The role typically involves:

  • A predominantly quiet office setting with moderate noise from office equipment
  • Collaboration with colleagues and maintaining professionalism in all tasks
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, along with routine bending and stretching
