About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Medical Affairs Strategy and Innovation to join our team at Danaher Corporation. As a key member of our Medical and Scientific Affairs leadership team, you will play a critical role in redefining the role of Medical and Scientific Affairs in innovation at Beckman Coulter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex, multi-discipline strategic medical affairs planning activities for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics.
  • Develop and implement medical strategy for current and novel Beckman Coulter products that aligns with business strategy.
  • Support critical innovation initiatives by gathering and providing medical input to support new product development, launch, and post-launch success.
  • Provide medical expertise to support defining strategic needs for innovation and new product or services development in collaboration with R&D and business unit teams.
  • Establish close, collaborative relationships with other Beckman Coulter functions to improve innovation process, product development launch, and post-launch success.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of industry experience leading medical affairs strategy and product launches for innovative in vitro diagnostic, lab-developed, or companion diagnostics products or medical devices.
  • Medical degree or PhD with 14+ years of combined work experience in Laboratory Medicine, Hematopathology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Infectious disease, Neurology, or other medical specialty.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills, including the ability to scale, hire, motivate, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Ability to define objectives, processes, priorities, and milestones, and manage competing priorities to meet and exceed goals in a fast-paced environment.
