Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Therapist to join our team at MHMR Tarrant. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide addiction and mental health treatment to at-risk individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial face-to-face assessments to determine eligibility for MHMR services, including diagnostic evaluation according to guidelines.
  • Complete initial assessments and make referrals for follow-up care.
  • Document all required eligibility documentation and assessments, meeting SBIRT and CCBHC requirements when fully licensed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and develop follow-up care plans, including arranging appropriate care for clients with suicidal or homicidal ideation.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training for unit staff on various topics.
  • Participate in team meetings, provide feedback on clinical processes, and report incidents or concerns to management.
  • Thoroughly document all treatment provided.
  • Provide clinical consultation and training to staff as necessary, ensuring professional accountability.
  • Complete Person and Family Centered Wellness Plans at intake for assigned patients.
  • Perform Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and/or Cognitive Processing Therapy referrals with appropriate follow-up.
  • Conduct quarterly audits of documentation to ensure compliance with requirements and propose revisions for service improvement.
  • Maintain current licensure and practices in accordance with professional standards.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skill in developing productive relationships with clients, family members, service providers, and professional peers and subordinates.
  • Extensive knowledge of the needs and characteristics associated with clients who are in the target population.
  • Extensive knowledge of case management, habilitation, and rehabilitation principles, objectives, standards, and methods.
  • Ability to train others on rehabilitative services and related issues as necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of the current criteria and disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and organize work effectively and to prioritize workload demands.
  • Ability to conduct screenings, referrals, intakes, assessments, and unit orientations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to complete proper documentation/paperwork required for client chart.
  • Ability to cope with and assist others in coping with frustration and be flexible in meeting organization's workload demands.
