Position Responsibilities:

The CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for reviewing patient medical histories and physician orders. They will educate patients about procedures, equipment, and examinations to ensure understanding and cooperation. When necessary, they will prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as per their scope of practice.

Continuous monitoring of patient conditions is essential, with appropriate reporting and response to any changes in status. The specialist will prepare equipment and supplies, implement safety standards, and conduct quality control procedures on imaging equipment. Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions is also a key responsibility.

Additionally, the specialist will position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify any issues related to image quality. They will take necessary actions to rectify image quality concerns, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures as needed. Finally, they will enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in CT, with a CT registry or eligibility.

Skills: Strong critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and the capacity to work independently in a high-pressure environment are required. Candidates must also possess AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Licenses: Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist and Technician, ARRT registration is mandatory.
