Compensation: The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role:
The Emergency Department at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is a full-service 8-bed department staffed by Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, and Washington University Emergency Medicine Physicians. We serve both pediatric and adult populations, meeting the needs of our community with compassion and expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Promote patient-centered care in a healing environment
- Educate patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication management
- Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patients/families
- Participate in professional development and stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- No experience required; previous ER experience a plus
- Valid RN licensure and certification in ER nursing (if applicable)
