Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at PIH Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions to patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve communication and swallowing skills.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Knowledge of current research and best practices in speech and language pathology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
