Position Overview:
The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse (RN) is a dedicated healthcare professional responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care within the cardiac catheterization lab.
This role involves utilizing advanced nursing practices, integrating technology, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based methodologies while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Work Schedule:
Part-time position (20-hour shifts, Monday to Friday) with on-call responsibilities that may include weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify and address the psychological and physical needs of patients.
- Ensure high-quality care by prioritizing the well-being of patients and their families through effective communication.
- Collaborate in the development of personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Adhere to established evaluation, treatment, and documentation protocols.
- Supervise care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Engage in clinical team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
- Follow institutional, regulatory, and professional standards, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
- Registered Nurses with an ASN/ADN degree must complete a BSN degree within four years of hire unless exempt due to extensive experience.
- A valid RN license in the state of practice is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary upon hire or within a specified timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or a minimum of two years in critical care is highly desirable.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to see and read information, assess patient needs, and operate medical equipment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Manual dexterity for handling delicate equipment and performing nursing tasks.
- Capability to lift and move patients, as well as transport medical supplies and equipment.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods and navigate busy clinical environments.
