Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A Driver to join our team at The SYGMA Network. As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting product from our warehouse to various customers, delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and company standards.

Responsibilities
  • Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines, including DOT electronic or manual logs, inspections, company vehicle maintenance reports, and pre- and post-trip reports.
  • Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting and delivery practices.
  • Ability to drive a tractor-trailer unit both in the day and at night, remain alert and aware of surroundings, meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company, and handle hazardous materials and food and restaurant items that are frozen, dry, and refrigerated.
