Job Summary

BRMi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of new IT solutions and enhancements to existing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, with expertise in C#, VB.NET, WPF, PowerShell, and XAML.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for assigned systems, ensuring compliance with BRMi standards and processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain cost-effective information technology solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategies.
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating systems environment.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and mentorship in developing system software code using best practices.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts between proposed solutions and existing systems to ensure compatibility.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all BRMi systems.
  • Oversee and lead the preparation, execution, and documentation of development tests and evaluations.
  • Prepare and maintain all project documentation in accordance with the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases.
  • Ensure all revisions and refinements of software account for all changes in functional system requirements and equipment configurations.
  • Lead the implementation of systems/applications into test and production environments.
  • Oversee and lead a team of peers and junior level software engineers through the software development life cycle.
  • Provide technical support to customers during software warranty period.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders on project progress and status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
  • 10 years of advanced experience and programming knowledge in modern Microsoft .NET and legacy .NET Framework.
  • 5 years of advanced experience/knowledge in RESTful web services, including Web API and Mulesoft API.
  • Experience with Java Script and JS frameworks like Jquery, DOJO, and Bootstrap.
  • XML technology experience such as XSD, XPath, XQuery, XSLT, etc.
  • 3-5 years of advanced experience/knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) concepts.
  • 5 years of technical leadership experience leading software teams through the entire software development life cycle.
  • Expert experience/knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Advanced experience/knowledge in systems, workflow, and procedural analysis.
  • Experience in prioritizing, planning, and organizing tasks.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective skills in resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements.
  • Ability to lead independent teams, exercise initiative, and use good judgment.
  • Effective skills in using Microsoft 365 Office suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in software development/engineering.
  • Experience with the Finastra software platform, Encore.
  • Experience with IBM Datapower, IBM MQ, and IBM WebSphere.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of financial industry applications and systems.
  • IT Industry Certifications in good standing.
  • Effective skills with Apache log4j.
  • Effective skills with log4net, or other logging libraries.
  • Experience with xUnit, nUnit, or jUnit.
  • Experience/knowledge of software development best practices in accordance with the ITIL or CMMI capability models.
