Job Overview

Logistics Coordinator - $16/hr – 1st Shift

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the shipping and receiving processes within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the shipment of orders through various carriers, including truckload, LTL, and package delivery services.
  • Preparing essential shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, packing lists, and international shipping forms.
  • Utilizing various software systems, including ERP platforms, shipping software for UPS and FedEx, supplier portals, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Safely operating different types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up reach trucks.
  • Picking, kitting, and packaging customer orders, including replacement and smaller orders.
  • Receiving incoming materials, ensuring they are labeled, scanned, and stored correctly in the warehouse.
  • Inspecting incoming materials for accuracy, documenting any discrepancies, and resolving issues with carriers.
  • Conducting inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinating with freight carriers to arrange shipments and communicate shipping details to customers.
  • Loading and unloading shipments and containers as required.
  • Adhering to customer-specific packaging requirements when preparing orders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

In this position, you will be responsible for various functions related to shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control. This includes kitting, packaging, labeling, and ensuring the proper transportation of materials and finished goods. You may also assist in production tasks as needed.
