Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine custodial activities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing furniture, emptying trash cans, and cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms.
  • Use cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of standard custodial cleaning procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
