About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients recovering from anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients recovering from anesthesia, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide appropriate interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • At least 2 years of recent, full-time experience in PACU, ICU, or ER nursing.
  • Cardiac ICU experience is a strong plus.
  • BLS and ACLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
