Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) Home Health

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of home health professionals. As a Pediatric RN, you will provide primary pediatric nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents within the home-care setting, as allowable under state law and licensure.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough health, social, and developmental status assessments using appropriate tools and methodology.
  • Develop and implement age/developmentally appropriate plans of care and teaching that include the role of family/caregiver.
  • Perform nursing treatments and tests under the orders of the physician, including wound care, infusions/medication administration, venipuncture, and tube feedings.
  • Record all pertinent data accurately and in accordance with facility information systems and protocols.
  • Collaborate with patients, parents/family, and significant others to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current active license in the state(s) in which he/she is employed.
  • Two (2) years' experience as a Pediatric RN within the last five (5) years.
  • Able to provide proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) training to include infants, children, and adults.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

  • Make home visits to pediatric clients in designated geographic territories.
  • Able to physically stretch, reach, bend, stoop, twist, sit, walk, and climb stairs.
  • Work environment involves frequent exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and/or potentially infectious or hazardous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions.
