About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Lugoff Chevy Buick GMC in South Carolina. As a full-time Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality maintenance and repair services on various vehicles, including Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC models.

Compensation & Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of $15 to $30 per hour, paid weekly, and access to a range of benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and holiday pay. You will also have employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and service.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Complete all work accurately and efficiently, minimizing customer wait times and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Utilize dealership software and diagnostic equipment for proper vehicle diagnosis and repair
  • Keep work area clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient work environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle repair status and any additional recommendations
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and certification courses
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician or completion of an automotive technical program
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have own tools
