Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Supervisor:

  • Oversee the operations of the residence in the absence of the Residence Supervisor.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for potential employees.
  • Provide direction and oversight to residence staff in areas such as documentation, record keeping, and safety protocols.
  • Engage in direct care activities related to service provision, medication administration, transportation, documentation, incident reporting, and emergency first aid procedures.
  • Advocate for individual choice and ensure quality care with respect, dignity, and privacy, while promoting independence and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications for the Assistant Supervisor:

  • High School Diploma or GED with two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license that meets agency standards.
  • Completion and maintenance of required certifications as designated by the agency, including SCIP-R, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing specialized care based on individual needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork through open communication and shared responsibilities.
  • Basic computer literacy, including the use of email and web-based programs.

Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
