Job Title: Metallurgical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team at ATI's Monroe, NC production facility. As a Metallurgical Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Specialty Materials business unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product engineering and development
  • Resolving metallurgical issues and quality concerns
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their specifications and needs
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase yield, quality, and reduce costs
  • Providing technical support to commercial teams and communicating results to management, colleagues, and customers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of wrought processing and continuous improvement tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role or industry
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and certifications
  • Ability to travel 2-4 times per year
