Position Overview

This role involves working in a production environment focused on the processing of poultry products. Responsibilities may include handling live poultry and working with both raw and cooked items. Typically, employees are expected to work five to six days per week, with potential overtime based on production demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in various tasks along the production line to process poultry food items.
  • Comply with all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and report any unsafe conditions or actions.

Educational Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting is advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

In a production facility, employees may encounter:

  • Wet and moist flooring, including metal and plastic grating.
  • Temperature variations ranging from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with high humidity levels.
  • Handling products at temperatures between 25 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Noise levels that may vary from 50 db to 110 db.
  • Exposure to dust, feathers, and various chemicals utilized in poultry processing.
  • Mandatory use of protective gear as specified by the company.
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide and chlorine at specified ppm levels.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Physical tasks may include lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and pushing items along conveyor systems.
