Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a surgical setting. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, with a focus on applying the nursing process to the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and clinical interventions.
- Assign and evaluate the work of non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room.
- Provide care in specialties including Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotic, or Endovascular Surgery.
- Scrub and circulate as needed during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience in at least one of the following specialties: Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotic, or Endovascular Surgery.
- Scrub and circulating experience.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- Reliable and available for all required shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CNOR certification.
- Experience with Epic documentation system.
- Proficiency in all four specialties: Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotic, and Endovascular Surgery.
Education Requirements:
- ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) required.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- State or compact RN license.
Language Requirements:
English (Speak, Read, Write)
