Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance department and ensure the repair of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. The position requires the handling of equipment preventative maintenance programs and resource allocation to ensure machinery is always in the best possible condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and train maintenance department staff
  • Organize and oversee maintenance personnel schedules and workloads
  • Conduct performance evaluations on a timely and regular basis
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy, goals, and objectives
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and facility requirements
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and schedules
  • Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with departmental budget constraints, cost estimates, RFQ's, and specific repair projects
  • Ensure all facility equipment is in proper working order and available for use
  • Maintain all physical production floor and operations space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment
  • Receive, manage, and process work order system requests; ensure problems are resolved quickly
  • Maintain documentation for maintenance record requirements
  • Maintain, draft, and implement preventive maintenance schedules for the facility and manufacturing equipment
  • Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the facility
  • Participate and help drive emergency preparedness planning
  • Maintain and ensure inventory of supplies including reorder as needed
  • Establish additional programs and processes within the maintenance department as needed
  • Maintain good employee relations and compliance with labor contract provisions and company policy
  • Support the Supervisors and Manufacturing Engineers, ensuring timeliness in supporting all M.E. projects to improve manufacturing
  • Support plant layout improvements in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed
  • Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing
  • Familiarity with trades and knowledge of machine tooling
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with various levels of internal and external contacts
  • Effective project management and time management skills
  • Ability to make decisions within defined procedures; able to handle different and specialized situations within functional area
  • Skilled in planning own and others work to meet defined work plans and objectives
  • Ability to multi-task

The annual salary is $60,000.00 - $85,000.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance. In addition to your salary, MILE HIGH EQUIPMENT COMPANY LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
