We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Maintenance Technician to support our mission at Globe Communications, LLC.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive repair services on automobiles, trucks, and various construction machinery.
- Perform minor equipment repairs directly at job sites.
- Assess the nature and extent of mechanical issues and order necessary parts accordingly.
- Plan and execute all work procedures efficiently.
- Utilize hydraulic jacks or hoists to elevate vehicles for access to mechanical components.
- Dismantle units and evaluate parts for signs of wear and tear.
- Repair small engine equipment, including water pumps, generators, and air compressors.
- Rewire trailers and lighting systems as needed.
- Recondition and adjust braking systems on trucks and trailers.
- Perform minor welding tasks as required.
- Replace and adjust headlights, and install or repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience; Class A CDL is preferred.
- Have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience working in diverse weather conditions, including adverse weather.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Capable of lifting, climbing, and carrying loads up to 80 lbs.
