Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Mary Cariola Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care to residents, including administering medications, monitoring health status, and developing care plans.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of resident health status, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes resident well-being and staff satisfaction.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid NYS RN license.
  • An Associate's degree from a two-year college or university in Nursing or a related field.
  • One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting resident autonomy and dignity.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Nursing or a related field.
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Certifications in Medication Administration and OPWDD Nursing, as well as SCIP-r training.
