Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), working closely with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

About the Role

In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will work as part of a dynamic team to provide expert nursing care to patients with complex needs. You will utilize your critical thinking skills and knowledge of advanced nursing practices to make informed decisions and develop individualized care plans that cater to each patient's unique requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect for all patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Analyze patient data and clinical information to identify trends, complications, or potential issues, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and improve outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the PCU, participating in regular quality improvement initiatives and suggesting innovative solutions to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in a similar setting.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification.
