Job Title: Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paralegal to join our team at Safe Harbor Estate Law. As a paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in preparing and maintaining legal documents, conducting research, and interacting with clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain legal documents, including complaints, interrogatories, and pleadings, under the supervision of an attorney.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as answering phone calls, maintaining case files, and coordinating with clients and other parties.
  • Conduct research on legal articles, prepare and organize exhibits, and assist with client meetings.
  • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems.
  • Arrange law office activities, such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers.
  • Draft and file probate pleadings for MN and WI.
  • Assist with trust administrations and non-probate estate administrations.
  • Draft asset summaries for clients.
  • Assist with estate plan signing, including witnessing, saving scanned documents, and filing deeds.
  • Provide backup on drafting estate plan documents and preparing them for signing.
  • Maintain and update case management systems, including daily detailed time records.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills.
Compensation:

$28 - $32 per hour, depending on experience.
