Job Overview
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum.

At Scorpius Biomanufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Biomanufacturing Supervisor to oversee our microbial manufacturing operations. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our production processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role
This position reports directly to the VP, Manufacturing Operations & Site Head and involves supervising a team of employees during production processes. The ideal candidate must have strict attention to detail, high-quality customer service skills, and the ability to work well and collaborate in cross-functional teams at Scorpius Biomanufacturing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide support for the scale-up and characterization from our Process Development (PD) group and/or external client teams.
  • Execute experiments with minimal supervision to support characterization, scale-up, and manufacturing activities.
  • Collaborate with the PD and Analytical groups to characterize and fit existing processes for clinical-scale, cGMP-compliant manufacturing.
  • Generation of all relevant protocols, reports, and supporting cGMP documentation, including Facility Fit Analysis, Process Descriptions, Process Flow Diagrams, Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Batch Records (Process and Solution), Operating Procedures, In-process Controls, etc.

Requirements
  • Requires a BS or MS from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a Scientific or Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a Process Development and GMP manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Requires 5+ years (BS), 2+ years (MS) of Process Development/MST/Biomanufacturing experience.
  • Requires a strong background in cGMP principles and Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of both upstream and downstream biomanufacturing processes is essential.
