Responsibilities- Patient Education: Educate patients on prescribed dialysis treatment, including modality options and home dialysis requirements.
- Prospective Patient Evaluation: Meet and evaluate prospective new home therapy patients to explain modality options and home dialysis requirements.
- Nursing Care: Render highly professional and technical nursing care to dialysis patients, including health maintenance and disease prevention education.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to manage patient care at home, including referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
- Patient Advocacy: Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing processes, ensuring a secure and safe patient environment.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Current RN licensure appropriate to the state of practice.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year RN experience, required.
- Skills: Excellent bedside manner and communication skills, willingness to work a flexible schedule, and ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
