Job Description:
MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in a top healthcare facility. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits, and providing skilled speech therapy services to help them develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
- Provide skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders, including teaching patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their oral or written language skills.
- Teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid.
- Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.
Requirements:
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP.
- At least one year of professional working experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must have CCC's.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
