Job Summary

Le Bonheur Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children in the PICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering blood transfusions, and conducting respiratory therapy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse.
  • Pediatrics experience required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Driver's license must be included with submission.
  • 2 forms of government-issued ID required.
  • Background Check within 60 days of start.
  • Internal Evaluation is required for candidates who have been employed with their agency for one year or more.
