Job Title: Security Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our team at ARK Solutions, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing security best practices, assisting with the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, and preparing security documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage security best practices aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Prepare security documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and generate security reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and remediate software or hardware vulnerabilities to safeguard assets.
  • Evaluate current and future security tools and systems, providing recommendations for enhancements or new implementations.
  • Respond to security incidents, executing incident response protocols and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct after-action reviews to identify root causes and lessons learned, producing after-action reports as needed.
  • Mitigate identified risks through the implementation of strategies.
  • Educate IT and program areas on security policies to ensure widespread understanding and adherence.
  • Manage the change control process, ensuring all modifications are documented and compliant with standards.
  • Accurately record hours spent on each task for accountability and project management purposes.
  • Adhere to IT protocols and collaborate with IT staff to maintain compliance with organizational standards.
  • Comply with and enforce all agency policies, procedures, and security policies.
  • Deliver technical training and facilitate knowledge transfer to IT support staff focused on information security.

Qualification Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have four or more years of combined IT and security work experience, with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis. Additionally, they should have experience with information technology security, firewall policies, implementation, and best practices, as well as cloud computing and cloud computing security.

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP, Security+, OSCP, or CISA, are also highly desirable.
