Job Title: Global Commodity Manager for Packaging

NVIDIA is seeking a seasoned Commodity Manager to lead our Global Commodity Management Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing and commodity management of Mechanical Packaging in our Boards and Systems Supply Chain Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain.
  • Establish strong internal relationships with NVIDIA cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements, cost reduction strategies, and maintain lead-time, cost systems, and split of business decisions.
  • Accountable for component supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs that increase flexibility and minimize liabilities.
  • Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies, and maintain data integrity to ensure supply resiliency.
  • Resolve impediments to production readiness and support execution during production.
  • Enable early supplier involvement to bring innovation from the industry to deliver innovation on SOL project schedules.
  • Concentrated effort in NPI to achieve industry-leading time-to-market, establishing supplier selection criteria, alternative suppliers, qualify new suppliers, and drive supplier selection in partnership with Engineering.
Requirements:
  • BS in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Thermal/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in global commodity management and a consistent record of running Packaging Supply Base.
  • Deep understanding of Packaging technology, especially corrugated packaging, market, manufacturing process, cost drivers, and supply landscape.
  • Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations, supplier performance measurement system.
  • Strong analytical skills, such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection, and supply/demand analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives.
  • High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment.
