The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Chief-Physician to lead our Geriatrics Service Line. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, overseeing the administration of the service, and promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Providing hands-on clinical work and overseeing the administration of the Geriatrics Service Line
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
- Collaborating with other service chiefs to develop and execute the overall Medical Center strategic and business plan
- Staying abreast of changing conditions in healthcare and educating staff on best practices
- Encouraging and rewarding risk-taking and entrepreneurial behavior
- United States Citizenship
- Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
- Residency Training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Board Certified or Eligible
