We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at TriStar Summit Medical Center. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Prepare and organize operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies for various surgical procedures.
- Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during procedures, providing timely and efficient support.
- Take care of specimens, prepare, check, and monitor medications, and assist with dressings.
- Set up a sterile and sanitary environment, maintaining the sterile field for patients during procedures.
- Utilize correct body mechanics when moving, transporting, and positioning patients, stretchers, and/or tables to prevent injury.
- Follow relevant safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in orientation and education of operating room staff on an ongoing basis.
- Stock and restock medical supplies as needed.
- Provide surgeons and patients with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- Surgical Tech Certification required - NBSTSA certification accepted.
- One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 200-bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We offer a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center.
