Medical Staff Enrollment Coordinator

The Provider Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for managing the enrollment and tracking of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payor provider applications, as well as re-validations and re-credentialing applications. This individual will serve as a liaison between providers and payors, working closely with the credentialing team to obtain necessary documents and information to complete payor applications. The Provider Enrollment Specialist will also be responsible for scheduling and transcribing medical staff meetings, distributing meeting minutes and agendas, and preparing meeting packets. Additionally, this role will involve maintaining required medical staff documentation and minutes of medical staff meetings, as well as assisting with Joint Commission Survey preparation for the Medical Staff Office. The Provider Enrollment Specialist will also be responsible for scheduling physician orientation and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of medical staff and hospital matters.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll and track Medicare, Medicaid, and private payor provider applications
- Act as liaison between providers and payors
- Work closely with credentialing team to obtain necessary documents and information
- Schedule and transcribe medical staff meetings
- Distribute meeting minutes and agendas
- Prepare meeting packets
- Maintain required medical staff documentation and minutes of medical staff meetings
- Assist with Joint Commission Survey preparation
- Schedule physician orientation
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of medical staff and hospital matters
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Medical Staff Services or Business related field preferred
- Experience with provider enrollment, credentialing, or as an administrative assistant in a hospital or healthcare institution, medical staff office, or administration preferred
- Excellent organization and computer skills, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Ability to function independently and prioritize work
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Medical Staff and Administration
