About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nozzleman to join our team at Preferred Materials, a leading supplier of ready mix concrete, concrete block, rebar, and building materials in Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety and quality in the pneumatic placement of gunite/shotcrete in accordance with established standards and principles of structural concrete.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain nozzles and hoses to ensure proper and safe installation of materials.
  • Assist the gunite crew with setup and breakdown of job sites, including protection of the environment and surrounding real property.
  • Operate power equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with the gunite crew to ensure proper material flow to the nozzle.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to the construction industry.
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in the construction industry.
  • Skill in operation of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
