Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and committed Physician Assistant (PA) with a focus on Vascular Surgery to become an integral part of our reputable healthcare organization. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in delivering thorough patient care in both clinical and surgical environments. This position presents a unique chance to collaborate with seasoned vascular surgeons and enhance the quality of vascular healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment and Management:

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough reviews of medical histories, physical assessments, and analysis of diagnostic tests.

Formulate and execute detailed care strategies for patients suffering from vascular ailments.

Work in conjunction with the vascular surgery team to establish the most suitable treatment plans for each individual patient.

  1. Surgical Support:

Assist vascular surgeons during various surgical interventions, encompassing both endovascular and open surgical techniques.

Prepare and position patients for surgical procedures, ensuring strict adherence to sterile protocols.

Monitor patients vigilantly throughout procedures and provide essential support to the surgical team.

  1. Pre- and Post-Operative Management:

Oversee pre-operative preparations, which include patient education, obtaining consent, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals.

Deliver post-operative care, observing patients' recovery and addressing complications as necessary.

Inform patients and their families about post-operative care and rehabilitation processes.

  1. Team Collaboration and Communication:

Engage with other healthcare providers, including nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to enhance patient care.

Effectively communicate with patients and their families, responding to inquiries and providing insights regarding vascular conditions and treatment alternatives.

  1. Record Keeping:

Maintain precise and comprehensive patient documentation, including surgical records, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards for documentation.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.

Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Prior experience in vascular surgery or a related field is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of vascular conditions, diagnostic methodologies, and treatment options.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Experience:

  • PA - New graduates with relevant clinical experience or electives will be considered.

Certification:

  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP).
