Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Guide Dogs for the Blind. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced-level work in one or more of the trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
- Conduct general-advanced level tasks, repairs, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, fleet, grounds, and off-site properties.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced Facilities Technicians regarding work orders, repairs, technical information, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate projects, including estimating time and material costs, completing paperwork, and supervising work through completion.
- Maintain inventory, manage vendors, and assist other departments as needed.
- Working on a challenging variety of systems and projects, including interesting indoor and outdoor spaces.

- 4+ years of experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance; some supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency using general power tools, meters, and testing devices.
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs., squat, bend, reach, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.
- Valid driver's license and insurability at non-risk rates.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- Some weekend, evening, and on-call (24-hour emergency response) work required.
