Position Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Patient Care Technician in the Adolescent Psychiatry department. This role is essential in providing compassionate care to our patients while supporting their daily needs.

  • Sign-on Bonus: $1,500
  • Employment Type: Full-time (0.9 FTE) - Day shifts from 7am to 7pm, including every third weekend and alternate holidays.

Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Technician, you will:

  • Assist with the admission and discharge processes for patients.
  • Support patients in personal care and daily living activities.
  • Communicate any changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional states to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
  • Ensure patient rooms are clean and organized, and assist in the upkeep of medical equipment.
Qualifications

Required Licensure/Certification:

  • BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Nurse Aide certification from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry is required prior to hire or transfer. Candidates must also have a Certified Nursing Assistant credential from the state of Wisconsin.

Educational Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or one year of relevant experience is required. Professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience.
Additional Preferences

This position also includes responsibilities as a Health Unit Coordinator, which involves administrative tasks and monitoring unit cameras.
