Job Title: Staff RN Weekend Option

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Staff RN Weekend Option, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care on our weekend shifts.

About the Role:

This is a 0.75 FTE, 30-hour per week position that requires working every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) plus one additional weekday per two-week pay period. You will be compensated with a flat rate of $46 per hour and will be eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
  • Assess individualized patient needs and communicate care priorities to the team.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Utilize Therapeutic Communication to monitor physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Engage in the workplace community by participating in data collection, auditing, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Document patient care according to organizational standards and policies.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • A BSN degree or an Associate degree with a commitment to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.

Additionally, you must be able to:

  • Typing on a computer constantly.
  • Using a phone frequently.
  • Sitting frequently.
  • Standing occasionally.
  • Lifting occasionally.
  • Walking frequently.
